Questions about no app needed
Does the other person need PingLocate installed?
No. They never install PingLocate and never sign up. The link opens in their normal browser and asks for permission to share location. That is the whole flow.
What if their browser blocks location?
If they decline the permission, no location is shared, and you see the request as unanswered. We cannot override a declined permission, and we would not try.
Do they need GPS on?
Location accuracy is best with GPS on, but a device without GPS can still share an approximate location from its network. Approximate results can be several kilometers off.
